Great Transitional Fall Looks for Warm Weather

Gucci

As a Fashion Stylist, one of the favorite parts of my job is to help clients with seasonal transitions. Many of us get super excited when the new season’s looks and colors are out, and can’t wait to wear the new styles, but sometimes the weather where we live doesn’t exactly cooperate. (Think California or Florida in September!)  Here are a couple of my tips for taking your Summer wardrobe into Fall/Winter 2017.

  • It may sound old fashioned, but ditch anything white, except for fitted t-shirts, button down blouses if you work in an über conservative corporate environment, and sneakers (still very in, especially with pleated midi skirts or distressed hem denim.)
  •  Store, donate or sell anything pastel, or with a floral or tropical print.
  • Wear lightweight clothing in Fall colors/patterns.  This season, think army green, navy or a pop of red.
  • For a fun weekend look, wear shorts or a mini with a lightweight Fall sweater. Next, add booties, Gucci clogs or slides, or some amazing Chanel loafers. If you’re under 30, maybe pair belted paper bag  shorts with a short sleeved fitted crop top and some rugged booties.
  • Invest in an unstructured cardigan, preferably a really long one.
  • When In doubt, wear all black… that’s always chic!
  • Try a halter dress or top (with jeans or baggy black cropped pants,) with a moto jacket for a hot evening look!

As always, please feel free to message me, or email if you have questions or want me to style you for your best image, style and confidence!
